Lane C. Baghdadi, Founder

Lane is the founder of Qalex Consulting, bringing over a decade of high-stakes legal and policy experience from key roles within the U.S. government. She is an accomplished advisor who has held a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), with a proven track record of academic and professional achievement.

After graduating as class valedictorian from law school, she began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Charles R. Wilson on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Since then, Lane has served in numerous critical roles in the U.S. government, most recently as Senior Counsel for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). Her extensive advisory work includes negotiating and partnering with Fortune 500 companies, as well as advising senior government officials across numerous agencies, including law enforcement and national security entities. She also represented the Department of Homeland Security on the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Team Telecom.

She excels in engaging competing stakeholders and navigating complex policy and legal landscapes, with a focus on strategic relations, emergent technologies, information security, and critical infrastructure protection.

While maintaining strong ties to Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas, Lane has cultivated a unique global perspective. Born and raised in Texas, Lane built her career in the nation's capital. She has since lived and worked in The Hague and is now based in Paris, which provides her quick access to the EU political hub in Brussels. This international footprint enables her to provide truly global, forward-thinking counsel to clients operating across diverse legal and regulatory environments.
